Notes:

::	The above results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board of Directors at their Meeting held on 27 th January, 2006 .

::	The above financial results have been subjected to a limited review by the Statutory Auditors of the Company.

::	Owing to flood at Marol plant, Mumbai in July, 2005, there was substantial damage of inventory, against which the Company has received insurance claim, both of which have been treated as Extra-ordinary items in the above results for the nine months ended 31 st December, 2005 .

::	The furnace at Maraimalai Nagar, Tamilnadu and furnace no. 2 at Marol, Mumbai continue to remain under suspension.

::	Since the assets are used in the Company ‘s business interchangeably and the suppliers of raw materials and consumables are common, disclosure of segment wise assets, liabilities, capital expenditure, depreciation and non- cash expenditure is not feasible.

::	The Financial Results are in accordance with the Standard Accounting Practices followed by the Company in preparation of its statutory accounts.

::	The previous period figures have been regrouped/ reclassified wherever necessary to make them comparable.

::	The Company has received 12 complaints from shareholders during the quarter ended 31 st December, 2005 which have been disposed off. There were no complaints lying unresolved at the beginning or at the end of the quarter.
